Gigabyte has released the Instant 6GHz BIOS function
It enables the top-tier Intel Core i9-13900K processor to autonomously overclock on 1-2 cores up to 6 GHz.
The Core i9-13900K processor has the ability to automatically overclock up to 5.8 GHz on multiple cores using Thermal Velocity Boost technology.
The maximum frequency can be raised by an additional 200MHz using the new Instant 6GHz capability.
The Core i9-13900K consumes a lot of power and generates a lot of heat, so if you use the Instant 6GHz function, you should make sure your PC has a good cooling system.
For Gigabyte motherboards using the Intel Z790 chipset, the new capability is included in the most recent BIOS version.
The Core i9-13900K processor has a maximum frequency of 6 GHz.
According to Gigabyte, the Core i9-13900K can perform 3% better on single-threaded tasks when the Instant 6GHz function is enabled.
The manufacturer advises using the proprietary Q-Flash or Q-Flash Plus features to update the BIOS on Gigabyte Z790 motherboards.
